Our Purpose

The Purpose of the Career Development Center is to provide services and resources which assist students with their career planning and search for internships/employment, as well as offering ECSU graduates with graduate school preparation.

Another publication which is offered to all students upon registration with the Office of Career Development! This website offers students links to various career opportunities, as well as contact information for the Journal.

The Viking Career Closet is a resource that is readily available for any student in need of professional attire, whether it is for a job interview, internship, career fair, conference, networking event, dress requirement, or any other professional development necessity.  The closet is designed to help reduce the financial costs associated with starting a new career as a young professional.  At The Viking Career Closet students can browse, try on, and take items to keep for free.  Items range from suits, ties, dress shirts, slacks, to dresses, skirts, blouses, shoes, and jewlry.  The Viking Career Closet is housed in the Career Development Center in Griffin Hall, making it accessible to the entire campus community.

How to Secure Clothing

Students may visit the Viking Career Closet at any time or arrange a time with their individual Career Advisor for a personal shopping experience.

Clothing Donations

Amazon Wishlist is Active!  Please visit ECSU Career Development Center Amazon Wishlist to select and purchase professional clothing from the wishlist.

At this time, we are accepting professional attire ONLY for donations.  Donations can be arranged by contacting the Career Center by email: careerdevelopmentctr@ecsu.edu to coordinate drop-off.  

Alumni & Pre-Alumni, we welcome your donations!  Don't forget our Adopt A Hanger Drive is a great way to give back.
