ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Local church leaders and congregants can bring their business ideas to life at Elizabeth City State University's (ECSU) Lunch and Learn on Thursday, June 27.
The Department of Business, Accounting, and Sports Management is calling all future entrepreneurs to a “Lunch and Learn” event scheduled for 1 p.m. at Allecious Restaurant in downtown Elizabeth City.
The primary goal for this event is to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their business concepts into reality through training sessions, mentorship opportunities, and networking.
"Inviting churches facilitates community engagement, harnesses their support networks, promotes cultural diversity, seeks moral guidance, and acknowledges their historical significance," said Penny Royal, university program associate.
These sessions, made possible through a grant from the NC IDEA Black Entrepreneurship Council, are designed to equip and empower Black entrepreneurs in North Carolina. In a relaxed and informal setting, attendees will gain new skills while also building relationships with like-minded industry peers.
"Participants can expect to walk away with valuable insights, new connections, and inspiration to apply in their personal and professional lives," Royal said.
